Today's topic is multiple sclerosis. Multiple sclerosis, or MS, was described well over 100 years ago. It is a disease in which inflammation damages structures in the brain and spinal cord. Typical symptoms can include sudden vision loss in one eye, weakness in one or more limbs, numbness, problems with bladder control, problems with speech, problems with swallowing.
